Swimming in Da Lat’s Purple Stream

Da Lat (Lam Dong province) is known for its flower hills and poetic steppes, but also the famous morning mist that covers the surface of lakes and streams. Among such bodies of water, Tia Stream (Purple Stream) is likened to “the heavenly realm” in the heart of Da Lat. However, not many people know about it. Photo: Biblewalk Purple Stream is the source of the clear blue water flowing into Tuyen Lam Lake – the largest freshwater lake in Da Lat, Lam Dong. Tuyen Lam Lake is located about 5 km from the center of Da Lat city. Tuyen means stream and Lam means forest, Tuyen Lam is where rivers, streams, and mountains meet. Many visitors commented that this place is as beautiful as the scene in documentaries on the Discovery Chanel. Government’s December Law-making Session Opens

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh speaking at the session (Photo: TRAN HAI/NDO) During this session, the Government considers the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on People’s Public Security, and proposes building such laws as the Law amending and supplementing the Law on Credit Institutions; the Law on Citizenship Identification (amended); the Law on industrial defence, security and industrial mobilisation; the Law on Digital Technology Industry; and the Law on Urban and Rural Planning. In his opening remarks, PM Chinh said that law building and institution perfection is one of the three strategic breakthroughs and a focus of the Government’s investment and drastic implementation. In 2022, the Government held nine sessions on the formulation of laws and policies, during which Government members gave opinions on 40 draft laws.
