The Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) will be held from June 3 to July 8 by the Han River with the participation of eight teams, including seven from Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, Finland, the UK and the host team, Danang. The DIFF will begin with the competition between the Vietnamese and Finnish teams on that day. The festival was originally held from the 10th to the 12th day of the second lunar month in order to pay tribute to the villages’ tutelary gods. This year the occasion will run from March 1 to March 3. Security officials are on hand to ensure traffic safety along Nguyen Trai road. Bach Ma (White Horse) Temple is among the four sacred temples which is dedicated to the gods who guard the four gates of the Thang Long Citadel.
