Danang International Fireworks Festival 2023: “World without Distance”

The Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) will be held from June 3 to July 8 by the Han River with the participation of eight teams, including seven from Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, Finland, the UK and the host team, Danang. The DIFF will begin with the competition between the Vietnamese and Finnish teams on that day. The following nights will feature competitions between teams from Canada and France on June 10, Australia and Italy on June 17, and Poland and the UK on June 24. The final will take place on July 8. Five Moc villages’ festival excites crowds in Hanoi

The festival was originally held from the 10th to the 12th day of the second lunar month in order to pay tribute to the villages’ tutelary gods. This year the occasion will run from March 1 to March 3. Security officials are on hand to ensure traffic safety along Nguyen Trai road. The festival attracts both adults and children who come to enjoy the atmosphere. Since 1992, the festival has been restored and is held on a rotary basis, with a major festival taking place every five years. Recent times has seen the event postponed for three years consecutively due to the development of the COVID-19 pandemic. A procession of palanquin passes five villages. Bach Ma Temple festival in Hanoi Old Quarter opens

Participants join in dances and a street parade through Ma May and Luong Ngoc Quyen streets. Bach Ma (White Horse) Temple is among the four sacred temples which is dedicated to the gods who guard the four gates of the Thang Long Citadel. The three other temples include Quan Thanh, Kim Lien, and Voi Phuc. Beating the drum in order to mark the opening of the festival Leaders of Hoan Kiem district offer incense at Bach Ma Temple. French football manager Philippe Troussier coaches Vietnam national team

  with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to become the new head coach of Vietnam’s national football team. The agreement has a term of more than three years, from March 1, 2023 to July 31, 2026. Like his predecessor, Park Hang Seo, whose contract with VFF expired on January 31, Troussier will coach both the national and U22 teams. A ceremony for Troussier’s official appointment as the head coach is scheduled for February 26. The 67-year-old French manager was considered the brightest candidate for the position as his profile strongly impressed the National Coach Council and VFF senior leaders. He acted as strategic adviser and then technical director at the Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talent (PVF) Academy in 2018. One year later, he was appointed head coach of the Vietnamese U19 team, whom he helped qualify for the U19 AFC Championship 2020. He left after his contract with VFF expired in June 2021.
