CARE International Projects Aid 3,000+ Women in Dak Lak Province

On October 9, the Dak Lak People’s Committee met with a delegation from CARE International in Vietnam to discuss the implementation of two projects, “She Thrives” and “She Feeds the World.” These projects aim to benefit over 3,000 women and a total of 6,000 people in ethnic minority areas. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Thien Van, praised CARE and its partners for their support in the development of Dak Lak. He expressed the need for continued cooperation and assistance from international organizations, sponsors, and NGOs to address the challenges faced by the province. The meeting concluded with hopes for future support from CARE and its partners to improve production value, modernize infrastructure, and adapt to climate change, as well as connect product consumption markets in a sustainable way to increase income for the people of Dak Lak. According to Tien Phong (Vanguard) newspaper, the cost of a standard meal provided to the team of eight athletes is VND800,000 (US$33). However, the meal consists exclusively of fried tofu, braised basa fish, fried spring rolls, boiled vegetables, and tomato soup. According to SGGPO, a solemn event was organized in Rach Gia City, Kien Giang province, to mark the 155th death anniversary of the esteemed national hero, Nguyen Trung Truc. The ceremony took place on October 10-12, corresponding to the 26th – 28th days of the eighth month in the lunar calendar. This year’s commemoration is organized on a large scale to celebrate an event that has been officially recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Nguyen Trung Truc (1839–1868) was a prominent figure in the anti-French colonial resistance movement in South Vietnam. Exhibition of Artworks by Polish and Vietnamese Talents in Hanoi

According to VNA, a joint exhibition in Hanoi is currently showcasing nearly 170 paintings and sculptures. The exhibition, which began on October 7, features a collection of unique watercolour paintings and sculptures created by Polish and Vietnamese artists. These artworks beautifully depict various landscapes, individuals, and cultures. “The Reunion of Colours 2” is a themed exhibition organized by the Hanoi Watercolour Artists Club. It is being held to celebrate the club’s first founding anniversary, with honorary patronage from the Embassy of Poland in Hanoi and the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. Proposals to Increase Vietnam-France Tourism Collaboration

The event was organized by the Vietnam-France Friendship Association in Hanoi on September 23 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral strategic partnership. Vice President of the association, Nguyen Thai Dung, stated that the forum provided an opportunity for businesses to explore potential tourism in both Vietnam and France, as well as exchange tourism products.
