The annual festival was kicked off today [April 6] in Vietnam’s southern economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City as part of efforts to promote inbound and outbound tourism amid strong recovery post-pandemic. The Vietnam Women’s Union in South Korea will host a Vietnam-South Korea cultural exchange event on May 7 to promote Vietnamese culture and strengthen bilateral ties. Six Vietnamese billionaires listed among the wealthiest persons The global magazine Forbes has announced the list of the richest people in 2023, which includes six Vietnamese billionaires. Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of conglomerate Vingroup, still holds the highest position among the six Vietnamese billionaires with US$4.6 billion worth of assets. The 30-metre-high tree is noted for its large, thick foliage which brings cool air to villagers. The flowers consist of white and yellow petals and are widely known by their Vietnamese names as Bach Hoa and Man Man. The tree can be seen in full bloom between March and April each year. This species is often planted in Quang Nam, Ninh Thuan, and Thua Thien-Hue provinces, but is rarely seen in Hanoi. These flowers are most commonly found in Ha Dong and Dong Da districts of the capital. The tree’s charming beauty creates a peaceful state of mind for onlookers to enjoy.
