First Vietnamese flower arrangements on display in Japan

Ikebana , or ‘the way of flowers,’ dates back more than 500 years in Japan, according to Reuters . The Rokkakudo temple, which is said to be the site associated with the birth of Ikebana , in Kyoto, Japan is currently the headquarters of Ikenobo, the oldest and largest school of the Japanese art of floral design. This supplied photo shows a flower arrangement created by a Vietnamese Ikebana practitioner on display at the 2022 Ikenobo Autumn Tanabata Exhibition in Kyoto, Japan. Every year, Ikenobo organizes major Ikebana events at the temple, typically the hatsuke (first arranging) ritual, and the spring and autumn Ikebana exhibitions, or Tanabata . Among those, the Ikenobo Autumn Tanabata Exhibition gathers flower arrangements created by students of Ikenobo schools across Japan and from overseas branches. Vietnamese star fighter to attend int’l championship in Vietnam next year

The 2023 MTGP Vietnam Championship is the first tournament to be organized by the Muay Thai Grand Prix (MTGP) in Vietnam, featuring top Vietnamese and international Muay Thai fighters. The MTGP is the organizer of professional events of Muay Thai, a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques, at the highest level in the world. Over the past 10 years, the MTGP has organized more than 50 live events in 15 countries, creating development opportunities for many Muay, kickboxing, and MMA (mixed martial arts) talents, according to its website. At the 2023 MTGP Vietnam Championship, fighters will compete in 12 weight classes, including nine semi-professional weight classes and three professional weight categories. Vietnamese culture introduced at UN Bazaar International Fair 2022

The event was organised by the UN Women’s Union (UNWG) with the aim of raising money in a bid to support disadvantaged children around the world, including Vietnamese children. More than 300 local and expat children have joined an international painting contest entitled “I love Hanoi – City for peace” launched on November.  The contest is expected to spread the love for peace and Hanoi among children.
