Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Son Hung highlighted Dong Nai’s contributions to the relationship between the localities and the two countries, Malaysia and Vietnam.

Malaysia is one of six ASEAN countries investing in Dong Nai, with 18 projects and a total registered capital of over US$200 million.

In recent years, Dong Nai has also imported various materials for industrial production and consumer goods from ASEAN countries and Malaysia, such as chemicals, iron and steel, machinery, and equipment.

Wong Chia Chiann, Consul General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed gratitude to the leaders of Dong Nai province for their attention to diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Malaysia.
